No 13 Term 2 Week 9 - 10th June 2020
Principal's News

I have to say that I am one very happy principal right now. Words just can't adequately describe just how delighted I am to have our family of students and teachers all back together again. With the return of our year 3-6 students on Tuesday, every classroom and learning space is now buzzing with the sound of happy children learning and excited teachers teaching.
As I proudly stand alongside my very committed colleagues each day, we welcome our families to school and help our children safely reunite with parents at the end of each day. Seeing your smiles as you enter the school yard offering a wave or simple message of gratitude, warms my heart and reminds me that we are a blessed community that truly does stand together.
I thank you all for your continued patience and willingness to adapt, as we implement a range of modified procedures across the school. The drop off and pick up procedures probably being the biggest of these. You are all doing an amazing job and we thank you.

Principal
Hallam Road Pedestrian Crossing

The City of Casey has informed us that they are having significant difficulties providing crossing supervisors to watch over pedestrian crossings right across the city at this time. This means that it is likely to be some time before the Hallam Road crossing has someone allocated to supervise children. If your child needs to cross Hallam Road without an adult either before or after school, please be sure to remind them of how to do so safely by always obeying the signals and not crossing until traffic has completely stopped.
Advice from the Chief Health Officer

Victoria's Chief Health Officer, Brett Sutton.
Health and safety advice for returning to onsite learning in the context of COVID-19 has been made available to support schools to continue to provide safe teaching and learning environments for staff and students.
Therefore the presence of common conditions of childhood, such as asthma, epilepsy or Type 1 diabetes, in most cases should not preclude a student from attending face-to-face learning. But it is recommended that parents/carers of students with complex medical needs seek advice from the student’s medical practitioner to ensure they receive the best possible advice pertaining your child's specific needs.
The risk of transmission in the school environment at the current time is very low. It is not recommended that students who live with someone who is at risk of severe illness from coronavirus (COVID-19) remain at home at this time.
School canteen services re-open this week

Belbrook Catering, who provide our school a canteen service on Thursdays and Fridays will be starting up again this week. Orders can only be made online at the moment and must be made before 8:55am on the day. To place an order, you need to download an app to your phone or tablet called Qkr! Just create a familiy profile and select St. Kevin's Hampton Park and you are in. You will need a valid credit. debit card to pay for your order.

Please help us support the St. Vincent de Paul Society over the next few weeks by donating any non-perishable foods and/or other small items (e.g. new socks, blankets, clothing in good condition).
